The Kerala PSC Preliminary Examination for the Inspecting Assistant post under Category No. 274/2020 was conducted as part of the 12th Level Common Preliminary Test. The notification was issued under Examination List No. 62/2021 on December 9, 2021, and was uploaded to the official Kerala PSC website on December 10, 2021.
This stage was a common objective-type (OMR-based) test for several plus-two qualification posts. The exam had a total of 100 marks and a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes
The syllabus was based on the plus-two level curriculum, focusing on general knowledge, basic arithmetic, English and regional languages, in line with the official PSC syllabus.
Main Examination (Post-Specific Test)
The Main Examination for the Inspecting Assistant (Legal Metrology) was held on February 26, 2022, and was exclusively for candidates who qualified in the preliminary exam for Category No. 274/2020.
This was also an OMR-based objective test, carrying 100 marks with a time duration of 1 hour 15 minutes. The format remained consistent with the preliminary test and covered
NOTE ; However, unlike the preliminary, the main exam also included role-specific content, focusing on topics related to Legal Metrology, including inspection processes and enforcement protocols.
The rank list for the Kerala PSC Inspecting Assistant post under Category Number 274/2020 was officially published on June 30, 2023. This list was prepared based on the written examination and subsequent procedures conducted as part of the selection process. The rank list includes candidates selected on the basis of merit and reservation norms, and it will remain valid for three years from the date of publication, or until a new list is published, whichever is earlier. In that case, the validity of the rank list will expire by the end of 2026. Therefore, we can expect its notification soon.
